UnitedHealthcare’s $180,000 Investment in Disabilities Services

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Pennsylvania has contributed $180,000 to the United Disabilities Services Foundation (UDSF) to bolster aging and disability services across the state. UDSF is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living with disabilities, aging, or recovering from injuries through various programs and resources.

Blair Boroch, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Pennsylvania, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with UDSF, emphasizing the importance of connecting individuals facing significant challenges with the necessary resources to achieve their health and personal goals. Boroch highlighted UDSF’s relentless efforts in making programs more accessible, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and enriched lives.

The investment from UnitedHealthcare will enhance the capacity of UDSF’s programs and services, including:

  1. The Resource Center: A hub offering assistance from person-centered counselors to access resources such as life planning, personal care services, and enrichment programs.
  2. Service Dogs: UDSF trains service dogs for over two years to support individuals with mobility disabilities, autism, or PTSD.
  3. The Challenger Football and Cheerleading League: A recreational opportunity for individuals aged 8-21 with disabilities to engage in exercise and fun activities tailored to their abilities.
