RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt Celebrates 2,760 Years of Service, Honoring Long-Serving Employees
The focus of the evening was on the employees themselves. They not only look back on long service but have also made significant contributions to the company’s success over the years through their dedication. A total of 92 colleagues were recognized for their long-standing loyalty: 42 employees with 25 years of service, 23 with 30 years, 13 with 35 years, 13 with 40 years – and one colleague even celebrated 45 years with the company. The honorees come from various departments – from physicians and nurses to therapists, administrative staff, and technical personnel.
With the words of cyclist Rudi Albig, “The beauty of cycling is that it’s not always pleasant,” Helmut Bühner, Chairman of the Works Council at the RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt, opened the anniversary celebration. “A bike tour is divided into stages – and the same is true in professional life. We have all experienced highs and lows. That’s why it’s so important for us on the Works Council to hold these anniversary celebrations: to remind each and every employee how valuable and important they are to us.”
Especially in times when the nursing shortage is a recurring topic, Bühner emphasizes the importance of professional experience and consistency: “It is crucial that experienced professionals are there, like a rock in the surf, ensuring the quality of our work.”
In addition to Helmut Bühner, the managing director, Hannah Gilles, and the medical director and head physician of the Department of Cardiology I, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kerber, also expressed their gratitude to their colleagues for their many years of loyalty to the company. They expressly acknowledged their tireless dedication in their respective departments and their reliable cooperation over the many years within the company.
In her address, Hannah Gilles emphasized the great importance of the long-standing experience of the employees celebrating their anniversaries: “It is invaluable that there are people like you who remain loyal to the company for so many years. Each and every one of you is an important part of our success. Your expertise and commitment contribute significantly to our ability to consistently meet our high standards of quality and the best possible patient care.”
Special thanks were also extended to the long-serving chairman of the works council, Helmut Bühner, who attended the event for the last time in his official capacity. After 39 years with the company, he is now entering his well-deserved retirement. “We are deeply grateful to him for his many years of tireless dedication to the company and his colleagues. Next year, he will celebrate his 40th anniversary with us,” Gilles concluded.

He highlighted
the vital role of experienced professionals, especially amid ongoing nursing shortages, as the foundation of quality care. Managing Director Hannah Gilles and Medical Director Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kerber also expressed their gratitude, praising the honorees’ expertise, reliability, and enduring commitment to patient care excellence. Gilles emphasized that such long-standing dedication is invaluable to the organization’s continued success. The evening also marked a special moment for Bühner himself, who, after 39 years of service, attended his final ceremony before retiring—a milestone that will culminate next year with his 40th anniversary at the company.
