Morris & Dickson Expands 3PL Services with Presa Solutions Acquisition
Morris & Dickson Inc., a prominent pharmaceutical wholesaler and specialty distributor, has announced its acquisition of Presa Solutions, a leading virtual third-party logistics (3PL) provider for pharmaceutical manufacturers. This acquisition will enhance Morris & Dickson’s service offerings by combining Presa Solutions’ innovative order-to-cash platform with Morris & Dickson’s established fulfillment and logistics services. The strategic move is aimed at providing an integrated supply chain solution tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers.
According to Layne Martin, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Specialty at Morris & Dickson, this acquisition supports the company’s commitment to offering an alternative to the traditional “Big 3” distributors. “Many of our emerging biotech partners are seeking a more personalized service, and this acquisition allows us to strengthen our role as a Tier 1 partner to both pharmaceutical and biotech companies,” Martin said. The addition of Presa Solutions, with its manufacturer-centric approach, complements Morris & Dickson’s existing logistics capabilities, bolstering the company’s presence in both full-line wholesale and specialty distribution markets.
Presa Solutions, founded less than two years ago by industry veterans Omar Agado and Travis David, introduced a groundbreaking “virtual 3PL” model that offers pharmaceutical manufacturers a flexible back-end support system. This system includes a variety of services, such as order management, invoicing and collections, financial reporting, contracting, and chargeback processing. Presa Solutions is known for its ability to support complex supply chain models, including a flash title distribution solution that enables pharmaceutical and biotech companies to better manage capital investments and operational costs. These services allow manufacturers to focus on getting life-saving therapies to patients quickly and efficiently, while leaving the logistics and back-end support to Presa.
Agado emphasized that Morris & Dickson is the perfect partner for Presa Solutions. “Both companies share a similar commitment to independence and agility, which allows us to make quick decisions that benefit manufacturers. Under the new structure, Presa Solutions will operate as PresaMD, a Morris & Dickson company. Agado and David will join the management team at Morris & Dickson, continuing to lead the 3PL services under the PresaMD brand. This move marks a significant expansion for Morris & Dickson’s logistics division, positioning the company to serve a growing number of pharmaceutical and biotech customers with comprehensive supply chain solutions.
