The Medical Alert Monitoring Association (MAMA) recently wrapped up its annual conference in Washington D.C. on September 24 and 25. The event gathered industry leaders, healthcare professionals, and advocates dedicated to supporting aging adults. Over two days, discussions centered on advancing technology to enhance the independence and safety of older Americans.
Key discussions at the Medical Alert Monitoring Association (MAMA) conference featured prominent senior healthcare leaders, including Dr. Jean Accius, CEO of Creating Healthier Communities, who discussed trends in senior technology and home care. Susan Janeczko, Deputy Director of Outpatient Care at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), provided insights on evolving CMS reimbursement policies. Additionally, Martha Roherty, Executive Director of ADvancing States, addressed trends in Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) and the increasing use of Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) in Managed Care Programs.
The conference fostered collaboration among industry experts, focusing on innovative solutions that enhance the safety, independence, and well-being of the growing senior population.
