Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a national network under Cencora, celebrated independent pharmacy excellence at its annual conference, ThoughtSpot 2024, held from July 24-27 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Fla. Now in its 13th year, ThoughtSpot gathered over 3,500 pharmacy owners and partners to honor the dedication of Good Neighbor Pharmacy members and their impact on community health.
The conference featured over 30 continuing education sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, focusing on practical solutions and innovative approaches to advancing patient care. Key highlights included:
- Storytelling Studio: This new feature in the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Marketing Lab offered training on using social media effectively to enhance patient engagement and promote pharmacy services.
- United in Care Workshop: Brought together pharmacy professionals to share strategies for community engagement and business growth.
- Legislative Lounge: Provided insights and resources for advocacy, including tips for building relationships with legislators and effective advocacy tools.
Jenni Zilka, SVP of Community & Specialty Pharmacy and President of Good Neighbor Pharmacy, praised the commitment of members and their role in overcoming challenges to improve community health. “Our goal is to empower our members to be a resilient force for change,” Zilka said.
New Solutions: The conference introduced several new patient care service solutions aimed at enhancing clinical workflows, expanding patient communication, and boosting operational efficiency.
Good Neighbor Pharmacy Champion Awards: Recognized outstanding members in advocacy, clinical care, and storytelling:
- 2024 Advocacy Champion: Phipps Pharmacy, praised for its dedicated advocacy efforts across local, state, and federal levels.
- 2024 Clinical Care Champion: Bayboro Pharmacy & Wellness Center, honored for its exceptional patient care, including diabetes education and disease management services.
- 2024 Storytelling Champion: HB Pharmacy, celebrated for its successful digital marketing strategy and community outreach efforts.
Tim Cernohous, SVP & President of Community Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy at Cencora, emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in advancing community health. “ThoughtSpot is a testament to our collective efforts and commitment to the future of healthcare,” Cernohous stated.
