Vizient Honors 2025 Top Performers in Clinical Quality and Sustainability Excellence at Annual Summit
Vizient®, the nation’s largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company, announced the winners of its 2025 Top Performer Awards for Clinical Quality and Sustainability Excellence at the Vizient Connections Summit in Las Vegas. The recognition spotlights hospitals and healthcare organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in delivering exceptional patient care while advancing sustainability practices across the U.S.
This year’s awards carried special significance, marking the 20th anniversary of Vizient’s Quality and Accountability Study—a benchmarking tool that has shaped hospital performance improvement for two decades. Through the Vizient Clinical Data Base (CDB), over 1,400 facilities nationwide measure patient outcomes such as mortality, length of stay, readmission rates, and complications, enabling healthcare leaders to compare performance, identify improvement opportunities, and accelerate decision-making through transparent, peer-based data.
Advancing Data-Driven Healthcare Performance
To commemorate the 20-year milestone, Vizient unveiled a new user experience for the Clinical Data Base (CDB). The enhanced platform will provide providers with faster insights, improved year-to-date performance tracking, and advanced “what-if” modeling capabilities. The update is designed to help healthcare leaders identify opportunities earlier and drive better outcomes, further cementing the role of the CDB as a cornerstone of hospital benchmarking and improvement strategies.

The Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award is one of Vizient’s most prestigious honors. It recognizes top-performing hospitals across seven distinct cohorts based on their results in six critical domains of patient care:
