Among those present were Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry; Mr. Randall Karim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry; Mrs. Franka Costello, Chairman of Global Trinidad and Tobago; and Ms. Joann David, Director of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Division within the Ministry of Labour. Carenet’s Trinidad and Tobago location is its first to be designated within a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), positioning it as a pioneering project in the country’s drive to attract international investment through innovative frameworks. The new facility is set to initially create 250 skilled roles for healthcare advisors, representing a significant boost to the local job market. Following the formal proceedings, attendees gathered on the rooftop of the facility for a cocktail reception. The relaxed setting provided a chance for stakeholders to network and celebrate the successful launch in a festive atmosphere, overlooking the vibrant cityscape of Port of Spain.
