NextGen Healthcare has been selected by the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) to enhance its healthcare services for residents in Fairfax County, Virginia, and neighboring cities. The CSB, dedicated to providing lifesaving support for individuals with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, and substance misuse issues, will leverage NextGen® Enterprise EHR (electronic health record) and NextGen® Enterprise PM (practice management) solutions. These tools will improve interoperability, streamline operations, and support the CSB’s mission as it expands its services.
Over the past year, the CSB has introduced several initiatives, including the launch of a Youth Medication-Assisted Treatment (YMAT) clinic aimed at treating opioid use disorder. NextGen Healthcare’s technology will play a pivotal role in scaling the CSB’s crisis care capabilities, particularly in partnership with Fairfax County 9-1-1 services, in response to new state legislation that provides additional funding for developmental disability services.
