Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), the global leader in tubeless insulin pump technology through its Omnipod® products, has announced its plans to celebrate National Diabetes Awareness Month and World Diabetes Day with a variety of activities throughout November.

Jim Hollingshead, President and CEO, emphasized the daily challenges faced by people with diabetes, stating, “Managing diabetes involves making numerous decisions each day, which can be stressful and overwhelming. This burden often extends to family and caregivers, a reality that the public often overlooks.” He highlighted that approximately 500 to 600 million adults currently live with diabetes, a number projected to exceed 640 million by 2030. “At Insulet, many of us have personal ties to diabetes, and our work is dedicated to improving lives,” he added.
Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony
On November 12, Mr. Hollingshead will join members of the leadership team and global employees, alongside five Omnipod users from the U.S., Canada, Germany, and the UK, to ring the Nasdaq Stock Market closing bell at 4:00 p.m. ET. These users represent the hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who rely on Omnipod. As part of the Insulet for Good initiative, the company will also make charitable contributions to diabetes organizations chosen by the five Podders. The closing bell ceremony will be streamed live on the Nasdaq website and broadcast on CNBC and MSNBC.
ADA Panel Discussion
Insulet is sponsoring the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) two-day community event on November 22-23 at Roxbury Community College in Boston, MA, aimed at empowering communities to combat diabetes and obesity. The event will feature a panel discussion led by Dr. Trang Ly, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, focusing on diabetes health equity, prevention, education, access, and advocacy efforts. Insulet will also participate in the ADA Community Day of Access, offering free healthcare screenings.

New Podcast Launch
Launching in November is Insulet’s new podcast, “TypeCast: Life Between the Lines,” hosted by Omnipod Ambassador Natalie Balmain. This podcast will feature diverse stories and experiences of individuals living with diabetes and is part of Insulet’s broader effort to raise awareness.
Employee Engagement
Throughout the month, Insulet employees will write supportive notes to individuals recently diagnosed with diabetes and their families, coordinated with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF).
On World Diabetes Day, November 14, Insulet will host engaging and educational activities for employees worldwide, sharing customer stories and further promoting awareness around its mission to improve the lives of those with diabetes.
