Hartford HealthCare Partners with K Health to Transform Primary Care

Hartford HealthCare has partnered with K Health to revolutionize primary care delivery in Connecticut. The collaboration aims to redefine access to primary care using advanced clinical AI. As one of the largest health systems in Connecticut, Hartford HealthCare operates 500 locations across 185 towns and cities.

Hartford HealthCare, in partnership with K Health, is set to launch HHC 24/7, a new virtual health platform that will transform primary care access for Connecticut residents. Officially launching on April 1, 2025, the platform is designed to provide convenient, round-the-clock access to top-tier primary care, powered by K Health’s advanced clinical AI. The innovative platform will offer comprehensive, personalized care, ensuring that patients can connect with healthcare professionals at their convenience, no matter the time or place.

The goal of HHC 24/7 is to make healthcare more accessible and responsive to the needs of patients. With this platform, Hartford HealthCare aims to redefine patient-centered care by making it easier than ever for patients to access quality healthcare without the need to visit a clinic in person. “I couldn’t be prouder of what we are achieving together. This is about world-class care and ensuring everyone has access to the best care available. Our partnership with K Health helps make this happen,” said Jeffrey A. Flaks, President & CEO of Hartford HealthCare.

Hartford HealthCare’s commitment to patient-first care is central to the platform’s development. Flaks emphasized that the goal is to meet people where they are, offering a high level of concierge support while integrating the highest standards of care. “We need to meet people where they are and with the level of concierge support they want, all while fully integrating the highest quality of care. The provider has every resource of Hartford HealthCare at their disposal,” he explained. The integration of HHC 24/7 with Hartford HealthCare’s existing services ensures that patients will receive coordinated and comprehensive care across the health system.

The virtual platform will allow patients to access a wide range of medical services, from acute care to chronic condition management and preventative care. With HHC 24/7, patients will have on-demand access to clinicians for same-day appointments, enabling them to address a variety of health concerns without needing to wait for traditional in-person visits.

This integration with Hartford HealthCare’s broader ecosystem of healthcare services means that patients can seamlessly transition between virtual and in-person care when necessary, ensuring continuity and quality in their healthcare journey.

K Health’s role in this collaboration is integral to the platform’s success. “K Health is the first company to build clinical-grade AI into a system of care delivery, changing the paradigm on access, quality, and costs of healthcare,” said Ran Shaul, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of K Health. K Health has developed AI-powered tools that help clinicians deliver personalized and high-quality primary care. With AI Provider Mode, clinicians using the HHC 24/7 platform will benefit from K Health’s co-pilot technology, which enhances patient care by offering insights drawn from a patient’s medical history. Using the AI Agent architecture, patients will go through a personalized MedicalChat investigation, which is supported by relevant data from their electronic medical records (EMR). The AI-generated report will assist clinicians in making well-informed, individualized decisions regarding diagnoses and treatment options.

Allon Bloch, co-founder and CEO of K Health, remarked on the significance of using clinical-grade AI in primary care medicine: “The time has come for clinical-grade AI to be used in the core of primary care medicine. Hartford HealthCare’s ability to prove this out in Connecticut will be consequential across the US and globally.”

Hartford HealthCare, with its large and diverse network, is well-positioned to make the most of this innovative partnership. The health system serves as one of Connecticut’s largest and most comprehensive care providers, touching the lives of nearly 28,000 people every day. The network includes hospitals, behavioral health services, urgent care, surgery centers, senior care, and much more. With 500 locations across 185 towns and cities, Hartford HealthCare is able to provide high-quality, affordable care to every corner of the state.

The health system has also built a reputation for its excellence in specialized care, with leading experts in fields such as neuroscience, cancer, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, and urology. Hartford HealthCare is nationally recognized for patient safety and clinical excellence, receiving A-ratings across all its hospitals from the Leapfrog Group, making it one of the safest healthcare systems in the country.

The launch of HHC 24/7 represents a significant step forward in Hartford HealthCare’s mission to transform healthcare in Connecticut and beyond. By combining world-class healthcare with the latest in AI-driven technology, the health system is poised to redefine how patients access care and empower individuals to take control of their health in a way that fits seamlessly into their lives.
