Covenant Behavioral Health Gets Grant to Enhance ADHD Care for Military Families

Covenant Behavioral Health, a leading healthcare provider for active-duty personnel, veterans, and their families, has received the inaugural grant from Qbtech’s new QbAccess program. This initiative is designed to offer non-profit healthcare organizations access to Qbtech’s FDA-cleared objective ADHD testing devices at a reduced cost. Covenant Behavioral Health was selected for this grant to support its comprehensive, evidence-based approach in delivering top-quality care to U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families.

Since its establishment in 2011, Covenant Behavioral Health, a registered 501(c)3 agency, has been dedicated to supporting active-duty military personnel, veterans, their families, and the local community through education and integrated care. With a team of Veteran Ready Certified Providers, the organization believes in the power of integrated healthcare, collaborating closely with patients’ primary care providers to enhance their overall well-being.

“The demand for ADHD assessments has never been higher. On average, we see nearly 20 patients daily seeking evaluations,” said Dr. C. Carl Wilson, CEO of Covenant Behavioral Health. “We are honored to receive this grant from QbAccess and are excited to incorporate Qbtech’s ADHD testing technology into our practice. We strongly believe in evidence-based care and are thrilled to integrate objective measurement into our approach. Adding QbTest to our pathway allows us to see patients more quickly and provide clear results to support our diagnoses.”

QbAccess was created to increase access to ADHD testing and management for underserved populations. The program seeks to reduce health disparities by ensuring low-income communities can access high-quality ADHD evaluation services, improving clinical outcomes. Non-profit healthcare organizations, including Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers (FQHCs) and Tribal Clinics, are eligible to apply for grant funding to access Qbtech’s objective ADHD testing technology.

“There’s no organization more deserving than Covenant Behavioral Health to be our first grant recipient for the QbAccess program,” said Anna Brasile, U.S. Senior Business Development Manager at Qbtech and lead of the QbAccess initiative. “The work Dr. Wilson and his team are doing for military families is essential in ensuring that those who have served our country receive high-quality care quickly. We created this program to remove barriers to ADHD diagnosis and monitoring, and we are excited to see its impact at Covenant Behavioral Health.”

Qbtech’s ADHD testing technology integrates seamlessly into clinical workflows to provide a more accurate and efficient diagnosis and monitor treatment effects. The test, available both in-clinic and via telehealth, measures motor activity and evaluates the core symptoms of ADHD – hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity – through a 15-20 minute computer-based assessment. Results are instantly available in a report that compares the patient’s data with a control group, providing a visual representation of symptoms to enhance transparency in diagnosis and treatment management.
