Unlike other cholesterol types, Lp(a) cannot be managed with diet or exercise, and there are currently no approved medications to lower it. Raising awareness about this risk factor is crucial for early detection and prevention.
To address this, Care Access is offering no-cost Heart & Kidney Health Screenings in Glendale, Arizona. These screenings include Lp(a) testing and assessments for other related health risks, such as kidney and metabolism conditions. The initiative is part of Care Access’ Future of Medicine program, which aims to provide valuable health insights while encouraging community involvement in clinical trials for new treatments targeting Lp(a) and other cardiovascular conditions.
The Future of Medicine program includes three key components:
