Last year, Brenus Pharma was chosen to join CDL Cancer, a global mentoring program supporting highly scalable, science-driven companies advancing cancer treatments.
Distinguished by its innovative STC platform focused on developing next-generation therapeutic cancer vaccines, Brenus impressed during a rigorous scientific evaluation led by Dr. John Bell, a senior scientist at the Institute of Cancer Research of the Ottawa Hospital and professor of medicine and immunology at the University of Ottawa.
Brenus successfully completed the program alongside nine other companies, participating in four sessions held from October 2023 to June 2024 across North America.
Throughout the program, Brenus sought strategic and international guidance for its platform, particularly its lead candidate targeting colorectal cancer.
Each session involved presenting and refining objectives under review by the CDL community and mentors, including successful entrepreneurs, investors, professional partners, and key opinion leaders from esteemed institutions such as New York University, Oxford, Toronto, and British Columbia. This support validated Brenus Pharma’s roadmap and accelerated strategic milestones in R&D (multiomics and AI), financing, and partnerships.
“Through CDL’s innovative approach, we leveraged the collective expertise to anticipate key steps in bringing our innovation to patients with urgent needs. This year has marked significant achievements for Brenus, and we remain committed to operational excellence in reaching new heights. We are proud to have embraced the CDL challenge and extend our gratitude to our mentors for their trust,” said Paul Bravetti, CEO of Brenus Pharma.
