BostonGene Teams Up with Sylvester Cancer Center to Enhance Patient Care

BostonGene, a leader in AI-driven molecular and immune profiling solutions, and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, have announced a master agreement to collaborate on advancing cancer care, particularly for hematological cancers. This partnership aims to validate blood- and bone marrow-based assays for these cancers by leveraging BostonGene’s AI expertise and Sylvester’s research capabilities.

“This collaboration holds immense promise for advancing cancer care, particularly for hematological cancer patients,” said C. Ola Landgren, M.D., Ph.D., director of Sylvester’s Myeloma Research Institute. The flagship study will evaluate bone marrow aspirates in multiple myeloma patients, comparing traditional diagnostic methods with BostonGene’s next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based tumor profiling to enhance molecular subtype identification. This comparative analysis seeks to refine diagnostic and prognostic strategies in managing multiple myeloma.

“Through our collaboration with Sylvester, we aim to transform the diagnosis and treatment of hematological cancers using BostonGene’s innovative AI and molecular profiling technologies,” said Nathan Fowler, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at BostonGene. Their goal is to personalize cancer care based on comprehensive molecular analysis, bringing us closer to tailored treatments for each patient.

BostonGene, founded in 2015, focuses on advancing cancer medicine through cutting-edge solutions that digitize and analyze molecular profiles using AI-powered multiomics platforms. Their technologies aim to discover signatures, identify targets, and recommend effective treatments for cancer patients.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated cancer center in South Florida, leads in patient-focused cancer research and care. With expertise across various cancers and extensive clinical capabilities, Sylvester plays a crucial role in advancing cancer treatment options.
