Aetna Better Health of Kansas, a CVS Health® company (NYSE: CVS), announced that Aetna® donated $70,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. The significant contribution will facilitate the renovation and expansion of the family room within Children’s Mercy Hospital, aimed at serving the families of the most critical pediatric cases.
The donated funds will primarily be utilized to transform the existing family room, increasing its capacity from seven to ten beds. This expansion project is expected to create an opportunity for an additional 1,095 families to find solace and support during their challenging journeys. With construction set to commence later this year, the newly renovated family room is anticipated to open its doors to families in need by 2024.
