This partnership is an important step in reducing complications for veterans, active-duty military personnel, and other federal healthcare beneficiaries, ensuring they have access to advanced, cost-effective vascular care.
The HydroPICC® and HydroMID® catheters, both FDA-cleared, incorporate the proprietary MIMIX® technology. This advanced technology has been shown to significantly reduce the most common and costly vascular access complications such as thrombosis, occlusions, and catheter-related failures. The result is improved clinical outcomes and a reduction in the financial burden of managing these complications, which can often lead to expensive treatments, extended hospital stays, and additional procedures.

An in vitro study demonstrated that the HydroPICC® and HydroMID® catheters exhibited 99.99% less bacterial adhesion compared to both standard polyurethane and CHG-coated polyurethanes, highlighting their enhanced infection resistance. Additionally, HydroMID® was shown to have six times fewer catheter failures than traditional polyurethane catheters, with a 98% completion rate of therapy.
