Appoints Eric Davidson as Chief Commercial Officer
Mendaera Inc., a healthcare technology company focused on developing an innovative handheld robotic platform for interventional procedures, appoints Eric Davidson as its first Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this newly created role, Davidson will oversee Mendaera’s commercialization strategy as the company prepares to introduce its groundbreaking robotic technologies to the healthcare market.
Davidson appoints over 20 years of experience in medical robotics and healthcare technologies, making him an ideal fit to lead Mendaera’s efforts to bring its platform to market. He has held significant leadership roles in prominent companies within the medical robotics industry. Notably, Davidson spent nine years at Intuitive Surgical, where he played a key role in marketing and product strategy, contributing to the success of the da Vinci Surgical System. His work at Intuitive was instrumental in expanding the global reach of the da Vinci platform, which revolutionized minimally invasive surgery.
Following his tenure at Intuitive Surgical, Davidson appointed a pivotal role at Auris Health, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was a vital part of the company’s acquisition by Johnson & Johnson (J&J) for up to $5.8 billion. After the acquisition, Davidson helped integrate Auris’s robotic technology into J&J MedTech and later became the President of its Flexible Robotics division. In this role, he managed a team of over 500 employees, overseeing the division’s P&L and contributing to its ongoing growth.
Davidson’s appoints most recent role was as President and COO of Eko Health, a leader in AI-powered digital health solutions. At Eko, he advanced innovative technologies for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, further solidifying his track record in driving disruptive innovations. Earlier in his career, Davidson honed his sales and marketing expertise at Stryker, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the commercialization of medical technologies.
As CCO of Mendaera, Davidson appoints will be responsible for overseeing marketing, communications, sales, and training, guiding the company’s go-to-market strategy and ensuring the successful global adoption of its robotic platform. His leadership will be crucial as Mendaera prepares to bring its novel technology to healthcare providers worldwide.

His addition to the leadership team follows the recent appoints of JT Martinez as Vice President of Operations and Customer Success. Martinez, with his extensive background in medical robotics, previously led Support Services for Auris Health and later served as Vice President of Global Customer Success at J&J’s Ethicon Division. Martinez’s experience at Intuitive Surgical also positions him to play a key role in Mendaera’s commercial growth.
These leadership appoints come on the heels of several key milestones for Mendaera, including the successful closing of its $73 million Series B financing round. The company has also entered into a partnership with ultrasound company EchoNous and acquired Avail telepresence technology, positioning Mendaera for continued success in advancing its cutting-edge robotic solutions.
