OnMed to Debut at CES 2025, Revolutionizing Healthcare Access for Underserved Communities

OnMed, a leading tech-enabled hybrid care company, is set to debut its innovative OnMed CareStation at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This breakthrough solution is transforming how underserved communities access essential healthcare, positioning OnMed as a pioneer in closing health equity gaps across the United States.

OnMed, a leader in tech-enabled hybrid care, is set to showcase its groundbreaking OnMed CareStation at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The CareStation, powered by OnMed’s patented “Clinic-in-a-Box” technology, is designed to provide immediate, comprehensive healthcare, breaking down the cost and scalability barriers associated with traditional clinics and addressing the limitations of telemedicine’s connectivity and user experience.

This advanced technology suite allows real-time consultations with qualified clinicians, enabling immediate care, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The CareStation features automated privacy settings, vital sign measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, oxygen levels, and thermal imaging, all within a compact and secure environment. Clinicians using the system offer precise examinations, instant e-prescriptions, specialist referrals, and efficient medical record management, making it an ideal solution for underserved communities.

The CareStations are already operational in locations across the U.S., including Tampa, Auburn, Tuskegee, Milam County, Connecticut, and Georgia. These stations are placed in diverse settings such as homeless shelters, sheriff’s offices, universities, public buildings, and supermarkets. More locations are expected to be announced in the near future, highlighting the scalability and versatility of the OnMed CareStation.

CEO Karthik Ganesh emphasizes the importance of this technology in addressing healthcare disparities, stating, “Every community deserves access to everyday healthcare. OnMed CareStations bring high-quality care to underserved populations everywhere, addressing the root causes of health inequities.” He further notes that CES 2025 will be a pivotal moment for the company to showcase how technology can transform public health by humanizing healthcare delivery.

The OnMed CareStation addresses a critical gap in the U.S., where 80% of counties lack sufficient primary care and over 83 million Americans live in healthcare deserts. By integrating diagnostics and live clinician consultations, the CareStation reduces the reliance on overburdened emergency rooms for routine care. The model also cuts healthcare costs, minimizes lost productivity, and emphasizes preventive care for individuals with limited access.

The CareStation’s adaptability allows it to be installed virtually anywhere there is an electrical outlet, such as grocery stores, college campuses, homeless shelters, workplaces, community centers, and more. This ensures that even in communities with limited internet access or traditional healthcare facilities, individuals can still access face-to-face care from qualified clinicians.

At CES 2025, attendees will be able to experience interactive demonstrations of the OnMed CareStation. The demonstrations will highlight its capabilities in diagnostics, vital sign monitoring, scanning, biometrics, and more—all within an intuitive, sustainable model.

Ganesh explains the vision behind the OnMed CareStation, stating, “CareStations embody the humanization of technology—bridging innovation with compassion. In healthcare, tech for tech’s sake fails; the collaboration of people and groundbreaking tech like the CareStation is what drives real change.” He adds, “Solving healthcare access is complex, and the time to act is now.”

OnMed will also host a Power Session on January 6, 2025, at 12 p.m. in the Palm A Ballroom at Mandalay Bay, where they will further discuss their vision for the future of healthcare.
