UnitedHealthcare has announced a major expansion of its Individual & Family Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace plans, now available in 30 states. This includes new coverage in Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming, along with additional counties in 13 other states.
The expanded offerings now cover over 1,250 counties across states such as Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and more. Enrollment for these plans is open from November 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025, via uhc.com/exchange.
“UnitedHealthcare’s plans are designed to provide affordable coverage options with a range of benefits, cost transparency, and straightforward enrollment in both English and Spanish,” said Marcus Robinson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Individual & Family Plans.
These plans aim to make health coverage accessible to those who may not qualify for other types of insurance. In 2024, 90% of members received subsidies, with over half paying $0 in monthly premiums.
Key features of UnitedHealthcare’s plans include:
- $0 medical deductibles and predictable copays
- Adult dental and vision coverage with a $150 allowance for glasses
- Prescriptions starting at $8 at over 40,000 pharmacies
- $0 unlimited virtual urgent care
- Up to $150 in rewards for completing health-related tasks
- $0 digital fitness classes and discounted gym memberships
UnitedHealthcare also offers support in both English and Spanish throughout the enrollment process, including access to plan details via the UHC app.
