Peach State Health Plan, a Georgia-based care management organization, and the Centene Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), have announced a $100,000 donation to support hurricane relief efforts in Georgia following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The funds will be allocated to several organizations, including the Georgia Primary Care Association, the National Council on Independent Living, United Way of Southwest Georgia, United Way of Toombs, Montgomery and Wheeler Counties, Second Harvest of South Georgia, Southern Healthcare Collaboration Inc., and various faith-based groups across the state.

Wade Rakes, chairman and CEO of Peach State Health Plan, stated, “Our mission is ‘Here for you. Here for Georgia.’ In times like these, it’s vital that neighbors help neighbors. We are proud to support these local organizations that provide essential care to those in need.”

The funding will help recipient organizations enhance their efforts to deliver crucial goods and services to communities most affected by the hurricanes. This includes distributing emergency food, water, and shelter supplies, providing medical and mental health care, and assisting with transportation and rebuilding efforts.
