The Report summarizes the key accomplishments for the year, division updates, progress on capital growth and development, and accolades earned across the enterprise.
During 2022, UHS facilities cared for over 3.4 million patients and generated revenues of $13.4 billion, an increase of 6% over the prior year. Additional highlights include:
- The Acute Care Division had 312,000 inpatient admissions, 1.6 million patient days, 1.1 million outpatient visits, 33,750 deliveries and continued to expand its 7 Accountable Care Organizations.
- The Behavioral Health Division served over 730,000 patients, had 6.2 million patient days, and added 391 inpatient beds at new and existing facilities in the U.S. The Patriot Support Programs continued with 19 UHS facilities offering specialized care to military servicemembers.
Similar to the previous year, the Report includes an expanded section outlining the company’s practices and achievements as related to ESG.
